Provide complete external staffing support to specific functional areas of the Financial Products Division (FPD) and internal staffing assistance as needed. This position hires and coordinates all the college recruiting activity for the US along with managing the college recruiting teams and on-campus relationships.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Makes decisions regarding appropriateness of advertising particular position vacancies. Coordinates web-site usage, external search firm usage and on-campus recruiting.
When positions are filled externally, initiates external search by conducting cold calling and Internet searches to evaluate applications and resumes to determine qualifications and forwards those to the hiring manager. Works with the manager to ensure that persons selected/not selected have been evaluated based upon the requirements of the position and on a bona fide non-discriminatory basis. Provides external search services.
Works with HR Generalists to complete the hiring process (new hire orientation), including but not limited to, communicating benefit information and assisting in the coordination of relocation activities.
Utilizes eRecruit in PeopleSoft to create employment requisitions for external recruiting process. May participate in development and administration of the FPD College Recruiting Program which could include participation in the coordination of college recruiting processes at various campuses. May select and participate in suitable job fairs to represent FPD.
Utilizes eRecruit in PeopleSoft to create employment requisitions for internal recruiting process and handles internal process as needed.
Develops, tracks and reports various metrics related to unit activities and critical success factors. Tracks position openings via Excel spreadsheet.
Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.
Understands the Harassment policy of the company and is responsible for its application in all aspects of employment.
Qualifications
Ability to work independently.
Working knowledge of personnel law.
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply documentation and flow-charting techniques.
Knowledge of and ability to apply math computation skills, including basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division as well as statistics and other mathematical concepts.
Ability to create and maintain basic spreadsheets, word processing documents and mail merges.
A 4-year college or university degree and a minimum of 2 years exempt experience in recruiting is recommended. Previous exempt experience must be progressively increasing in responsibility and accountability and demonstrate an ability to gain in knowledge, skills, and responsibility such that a level of full competency can be reached. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
